Five Parsecs From Regina

A Five Parsecs From Home campaign set in the Spinward Marches of the Third Imperium.

When I was but a lad, back in the 80's, I played a solo Traveller campaign, playing through many of the classic adventures, taking a team of scrappy adventurers from mere free traders/adventurers looking to make a buck to hardened mercenaries with their own Mercenary Cruiser.

It ended poorly when we encountered a hostile Zhodani destroyer, which, as one could imagine, destroyed us. Critical hit, ship vaporized.

In a fit of nostalgia, I was thinking about running solo Classic Traveller again, but then decided that it would be more fun to use those Classic Traveller adventures as a framework for a Five Parsecs From Home campaign. 5PFH is better suited to solo play, and Traveller has a wealth of adventure situations that fit the 5PFH mode of play.
For example, the "Scrap Heap" situation in Adventure 1 - Kinunir is a perfect Stealth Mission.

HOUSE RULES
Since I am not using Unity Space, and instead Traveller's Third Imperium, specifically focusing on the Spinward Marches, there will be some house rules in play.

In addition, the plan is that this is a multi-phase campaign. Part 1 is classic 5 Parsecs, culminating in the team discovering the Kinunir and recruiting a group of Mercenaries.
Part 2 transitions to a combination of Bug Hunt and Tactics.

To support that, I am using the followng house rules:

1 - Since the adventures take place scattered across, Travel can be 1 parsec or 30…. that part is abstracted out.

2 Some crew types/entities are being remapped.

K'Erin are the Aslan
Engineers are Darrians
Soulless do not exist
Precursors do not exist
Feral are Vargr (other sophonts may also end up under 'Feral')
Swift are, of course, Droyne
Converted started as a group of scientists who ran afoul of an Ancient laboratory, and are expanding.
Manipulators are Hiver
Other Crew Types exist as-is. There's room in the 3I for anything
 (but faster-than-light communication)

3 Equipment will be 100% 5PFH. I considered rebuilding the tables to reflect the Third Imperium tech, but decided it was too much work

4 Starship combat can happen. If it does, the Mayday game will be used;

Each Crew member will be given a role (Pilot/Gunner/Engineer), and use their Savvy as their Expertise level. If they have two roles, each use Savvy-1; three roles is Savvy-3.

4 Psionics are ILLEGAL in the 3i; Highly Unusual in unaligned/Aslan/Vargr/Sword World space and Who Cares in Zhodani and Droyne systems.
